Whether you’re new to the industry or supporting hazardous area operations, this awareness-level course helps you understand the risks and safety principles that keep people and workplaces protected. This course is designed for anyone who may enter, work in, or support operations in hazardous areas, even if they are not performing electrical work. It does not involve practical assessments, making it ideal for raising general awareness across a wide range of roles.

Key Learning Objectives
Candidates that successfully complete the Ex Awareness Qualification will be able to –

Qualification details
Candidates who achieve a minimum pass mark of 70% in the multiple-choice assessment will be awarded the CompEx Level 1 Certificate in Ex Awareness. The certificate is valid for a period of five years.
This award serves as an introduction for further CompEx modules such as Ex Foundation or Foundation Plus.
